Vuly Play Scores a Hat Trick at the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards
The Australian outdoor play equipment brand receives three awards for its Max 2.1 Swing Set with Cubby, Quest 2.1 Monkey Bars, and Thunder 2 Pro Trampoline.

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, 14 October 2026 — Vuly Play has received three Winner awards at the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards. Its Max 2.1 Swing Set with Cubby, Quest 2.1 Monkey Bars, and Thunder 2 Pro Trampoline were honoured in the Sport and Lifestyle category.
Established in 1958 and endorsed by the World Design Organization (WDO), the Australian Good Design Awards recognise design excellence and innovation across industries. They are regarded as Australia's highest international design accolade.
This year's theme, DESIGN THAT LEADS, challenged designers to take greater ownership of their design decisions and consider the consequences and impact of their work.

Three Products Recognised for Good Design
Each award highlights a different aspect of Vuly’s approach to outdoor play equipment, from adaptable play systems to innovative engineering that delivers a distinctive play experience.
Max 2.1 Swing Set with Cubby: A Modern Interpretation of the Classic Swing

The Max 2.1 Swing Set with Cubby earned praise for its modular multi-bay system, which lets families customise their setup as their children's needs change.
"The design's clean, streamlined aesthetic and compatibility with interchangeable accessories creates a scalable solution that adapts as children grow," the jury commented.
Beyond swings, the Max 2.1 is compatible with a variety of active play attachments, from climbing ropes to Roman rings and hand grips. The integrated cubby adds another dimension to backyard play, giving children a dedicated space for imaginative adventures and quiet moments between activities.
The swing set’s galvanised and powder-coated steel frame also drew attention for its corrosion resistance and durability under Australian conditions.
Quest 2.1 Monkey Bars: Backyard Adventures Come in All Sizes
The Quest 2.1 Monkey Bars stood out for bringing physical activity and imaginative exploration together through a modular backyard play system. The award covers the wider Quest 2.1 range, which includes the Quest 2.1 Pro models.
“The design demonstrates a clear understanding of family needs, combining robust construction with adaptable features that accommodate children of varying ages and abilities,” the jury noted.
Available in multiple sizes to suit different backyards, the Quest 2.1 range can also be customised with swings and climbing accessories for varied play experiences.
The jury also highlighted the monkey bars’ ability to hold children’s attention for extended periods. This sustained engagement encourages active play and supports physical development.
Thunder 2 Pro Trampoline: Vuly’s Flagship Steals the Show

The Thunder 2 Pro Trampoline was recognised for its engineering and distinctive bounce experience, with particular attention to durability, repairability, and product longevity.
“The patented full-length leaf spring system eliminates traditional exposed coil springs, delivering improved safety outcomes and bounce consistency,” the jury stated.
Described as a “solid engineering achievement in a safety-critical recreational product,” the springless trampoline takes a comprehensive approach to safety. It incorporates a dual-ring reinforced frame, flexible fibreglass net poles, and a fully enclosed jumping surface that removes pinch points and impact risks.
A History of Good Design Recognition
These three awards mark another milestone for the home playground giant. Previously, Vuly received Good Design Awards in 2020 for its Quest Monkey Bars and Slam Pro. Both products have since been discontinued.
The Quest 2.1 range succeeds the award-winning Quest Monkey Bars, bringing the product line into its next generation. Vuly’s trampoline range also has a history with the awards, with the original Thunder receiving a Gold Winner award in 2017. The Thunder 2 Pro continues that legacy with its patented leaf spring technology and updated engineering.
For Vuly, the significance of good design comes down to the difference it can make beyond the product itself. It lies in what that product makes possible for future generations.

The 2026 Australian Good Design Awards ceremony took place at the International Convention Centre Sydney on 9 October, bringing together the country’s design community to celebrate this year's winners.
