In fact, our February 2024 survey amongst 50,000 Australian customers—moms (90%) and dads (10%)—in QLD, NSW, VIC (79%), WA (9%), and SA, NT, and TAS (12%) revealed the following results:

We wanted to make a comparison between the youth then and now in terms of how much time they spend outdoors. To get a clearer overview of this, we asked these parents how many hours they spent playing outdoors daily when they were kids:
This shows that a majority of children, back then and now, still spend an average of 2 to 3 hours a day playing outdoors. And so outdoor play remains a major part of growing up in Australia.
