Vuly Play and Springfree Trampoline are 2 of the largest and most well-recognised trampoline brands in Australia. Both brands have a variety of different trampoline models available for different budgets, and are considered to be the best trampolines in Australia

Vuly Play makes round trampolines using both traditional coiled springs, and leaf springs, a new technology with a better safety profile and better bounce! Vuly trampolines also have the highest net with tight-knit patterns to prevent finger entrapment. Vuly’s trampolines are well designed and aspire to be the safest and best-performing trampolines on the market.

Springfree Trampoline makes trampolines in 3 different shapes: square, round and oval. Springfree’s trampolines use flexible composite rods instead of springs and flexible nets. Springfree Trampoline also takes safety quite seriously and makes efforts to ensure users are protected.

Both brands test their trampolines for quality. Vuly's tests include 3,000 hours in the Australian sun, 1,000 hours in 30km/hr winds,  500 hours in 250 tonnes of pouring rain, 72 hour corrosion testing, 5,000 hours of UV testing for pads and shade covers as well as 2,500,000 spring recoils using an 80Kg weight - simulating 10 years of play!

Springfree tests its trampoline to 3,000,000 bounces, but does not disclose the specifics of any other types of tests it conducts.

Springfree offers trampolines in 5 sizes: Mini, Compact, Medium, Large and Jumbo.

Vuly Trampoline Coiled Springs & Leaf Springs

Vuly coiled springs are made from steel and coated to defend against rust and offer a well-rounded bounce for all users. Tapered hooks also prevent the springs dislodging during play.

Vuly’s premium trampolines use leaf springs - these are a specially designed steel springs which don’t compress nearly as much as coiled springs or rods. This makes them extremely safe. These springs and their precise configuration, also provide superior bounce and don’t create torsional forces on the legs when jumping.

Springfree Trampoline Flexible Composite Rods

Springfree’s flexible composite rods replace their trampoline springs. They are made from fiberglass and are quite flexible. When the trampoline is in use, the rods absorb the energy of the jumper and compress significantly before releasing the energy. The diagonal arrangement of the rods results in some lateral torsional forces.

Safety Profiles

Both brands take safety very seriously and have features that make their trampolines extra safe.

Frame displacement:

Vuly’s range of coiled spring trampolines all have springs deliberately placed outside of the jumping enclosure. The firm net prevents kids from making contact witht he springs.

On top of this, Vuly’s Thunder & Thunder Pro premium trampolines have a frame displacement that prevents users from touching the metal frame. This makes these trampolines extra safe, as hitting trampoline frames is one of the most common causes of  trampoline injuries.

Springfree’s trampolines all have a frame displacement, which prevents contact with the frame. Like Vuly’s Thunder and Thunder Pro trampolines, the spring replacements are attached directly to the jumping mat.

Trampoline Nets:

Vuly’s Thunder Pro has the tallest safety net of any trampoline on the market, measuring at 190cm tall. These nets are made from a soft terylene material, which is super fine and prevents children catching their fingers. They are also UV resistant and water tested using conditions that simulate real weather exposure.

Springfree’s premium trampolines have nets that reach 1.8m in height and are quite flexible. The FlexiNet technology is held in place by flexible enclosure rods similar to those used to replace the trampoline springs. This creates a structure that can allow heavier bouncers to make contact with the ground during a fall.

Trampoline Safety Skirt

The Vuly Thunder Pro also has a safety skirt, which prevents children from going underneath the trampoline and potentially getting hurt. Springfree does not have this feature.

Self Closing Trampoline Nets

Vuly offers self-closing nets on all of its trampoline models. Kids tend to forget about safety when they're having fun, and that's why self-closing safety nets are an important feature for any trampoline. They ensure that kids are never at risk of falling out of the trampoline and hurting themselves. Springfree safety nets rely on a traditional zip mechanism for shutting.
