Here at Vuly, we love a good smoothie! Not only are they delicious, but they pack a serious nutritional punch. Plus, depending on your health needs, they can be completely customised to suit your specific requirements! Today we take a look at some of our all-time favourite healthy smoothie recipes, and how they may be able to assist you on your pathway to good health.

Vuly’s favourite healthy smoothies for every body—The leafy green detox smoothie

If you’ve been overindulging of late, or have recently been through a bout of ill health, then it might be worth adding detoxifying foods and drinks into your daily diet to assist your body with rebalancing itself. Leafy greens and ginger are brilliant detoxifying agents that are incorporated into this yummy and healthy smoothie recipe—just remember to wash any leafy greens thoroughly before use.

 
Ingredients:

1 small piece of ginger

The juice of 1/2 a lemon

1 peeled orange

1 frozen banana (peel and cut into small pieces before freezing)

2 cups of kale or spinach

250ml of filtered water

 
Method:

Add the ginger and lemon juice to the blender, blending until the ginger has been broken down. Add the orange, banana and water, and blend until combined. Add your leafy greens and continue to blend until smooth and creamy. 


Vuly’s favourite healthy smoothies for every body—The chia oatmeal breakfast smoothie

Most people think of oats as the precursor to porridge, but they also make a brilliant, filling smoothie ingredient! Simply throw them in raw with some other yummy ingredients and you have a perfectly balanced, healthy breakfast meal.

 
Ingredients:

1/4 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup filtered water

1/4 cup almond milk

1 frozen banana (peel and cut into small pieces before freezing)

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Sprinkle of turmeric

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon maca superfood powder (optional)

 
Method:

Add the raw oats to your blender and blend until they have formed a fine powder. Add all other ingredients and blend until smooth. Serve and dust the top with some additional cinnamon.

Vuly’s favourite healthy smoothies for every body—The berry immune booster smoothie

When we’re feeling under the weather, our bodies need plenty of nutrients and hydration to regain our health. This smoothie recipe is packed with powerful antioxidants and immune-boosting Vitamin C, not to mention a healthy dose of ginger which will help ward off those ‘unwell’ feelings.

 
Ingredients:

1 cup of mixed berries (we recommend blackberries and blueberries)

1 peeled orange

The juice of 1/2 a lemon

1 apple, cut into wedges

1 small piece of ginger

250ml filtered water

 
Method:

Add the ginger and lemon juice to the blender, blending until the ginger has been broken down. Add the apple and blend to combine. Add the berries, orange and water and blend until smooth.
