Vuly Trampolines is pleased to announce that CEO Joe Andon has been named as a regional nominee for the 2014 Australian EY Entrepreneur of the Year award. Joe will compete with 83 exceptional entrepreneurs from across Australia for the title of Australian EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
Joe Andon, Vuly CEO
Joe’s idea to improve a product that was already globally adored — the backyard trampoline — has rapidly become a quest to create the magnificent. Since launching his company in 2007, Joe has turned his one-man operation into a global trampoline enterprise, which currently has a presence in the United Kingdom, Canada, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States of America and Australia.
“I’m very excited to be considered for such an accolade,” Joe says of his nomination. “It’s exciting that the work we do at Vuly is being recognised on such large scale.
The unveiling of Thunder, a revolutionary new trampoline featuring vertical leafsprings and an all-in-one safety system, in 2013 was the catalyst for Vuly Trampoline’s global development within the last year.
A recent acquisition of significant minority stakes alongside Joe has enabled Vuly’s large expansion into the United States of America, the result of which is a deal with global retailer Toys R Us, and the ongoing supply of product to over 200 independent retailers in the US.
“We’re making waves within the recreation industry and changing the way people think about the humble trampoline,” Joe says. “I always strive to deliver the best possible product for our customers, and expect Vuly to be supplying to 500 retailers in the US within the next two years.”
Joe will join his fellow nominees representing Queensland at the regional award ceremony in Brisbane on July 31.www.vulytrampolines.com
