Goodbye wobbles! 5 incredible arm toning exercises.

Tuckshop lady arms, bingo wings… there are many silly names for that pesky upper arm wobble many of us struggle to shift! If your regular exercises haven't left you with the tight and toned arms of your dreams, then you probably need to introduce some focussed arm strengthening. Read on to learn our five incredible arm toning exercises which will give you brilliant, speedy results from the comfort of your home.

5 incredible arm toning exercises—Getting started

Before jumping into the following exercises, you’ll need to arm yourself with a couple of small dumbbells ranging in weight from 2kgs-4kgs (these can be picked up for under $10 from your local sports store). We also recommend warming up your muscles properly to prevent any injuries or strains—a few minutes of jumping jacks and air punches while bouncing on your Vuly trampoline would be perfect.

5 incredible arm toning exercises—Shoulder press

1. Stand comfortably with your feet slightly apart holding both dumbbells up beside your ears

2. Lift your arms up above your head and gently tap the dumbbells together, then bring down to the starting position. Remember that squeezing your core tight will provide you with more stability


5 incredible arm toning exercises—Side Tri Lift

1. Stand comfortably with your feet slightly apart, holding both dumbbells by your sides. Slightly rotate your hands inwards so the tops of your hands are facing forward, and the dumbbell is lengthways

2. Lift one arm up to the side without rotating, so the backs of your arms are engaged. Make sure you’re not shrugging your shoulders or bending your torso

 
5 incredible arm toning exercises—Bent Reverse Fly

1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and bend forward from the hips, so your torso is leaning forward slightly

2. Hold the dumbbells out in front of you, so each end is touching the other

3. Pull the dumbbells out to both sides with straightened arms, remaining in your forward leaning position. Remember to squeeze in your core and slightly bend your knees for stability

 
5 incredible arm toning exercises—Overhead Tricep Extension

1. Stand in a neutral position with your feet shoulder-width apart

2. Using both hands to hold the bar of one dumbbell, hold it above your head, then slightly back

3. Lower the dumbbell behind your head until it is just behind your shoulders, then raise it back up to the original position

 
5 incredible arm toning exercises—Bent Dumbbell Rows

1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and bend forward from the hips, so your torso is leaning forward slightly

2. Hold the dumbbells out in front of you, so each end is touching the other. Ensure your arms are straight

3. Pull both arms up so the dumbbells reach either side of your chest, then return to the original position
